GMKS believed an equitable, Peaceful, Just and value based society, free from discrimination of economic status, caste, Gender and religion.

The mission of GMKS is to organize and empower the tribal and marginalized section of the society through self-help initiatives. They can develop their own capabilities and manage resources to cater larger needs of the sustainable development process.
To empower poorest and venerable tribe community to deal with their own resources and practices for seeking sustainable livelihood, quality education, improved health and hygiene and nutrition to all , especially women and children for a dignified living.
GMKS put emphases on community participation with participatory planning ,implementation ,monitoring and evaluation .GMKS believes in common concessencess (Aam Sahmati) . In short the approach of GMKS is democratic ethical value and people based.
Bhomat Vikas Manch -An Initiative for upliftment of tribal women and men
A large number of men and women of the tribal communities come and join the forum, popularly known as Bhomat Vikas Manch, wherein they raise their voices for their own rights and local developmental issues. Bhomat Vikas Manch was formed in the year 1998 and since then GMKS has been extending all supports to keep alive the activities of the forum. Bhomat is the traditional name of this region, and thus the collective action of the tribes called Bhomat Vikas Manch (Bhomat Development Forum).
The forum has 1470 members in total, of which 800 female and 670 male members representing 56 villages of Jhadol and Kotra blocks.

Most of the members of the forum are tribals and few of them belong to Schedule caste/Dalit.

Main objectives of the Forum

  • Make efforts for women empowerment and their rights among tribal communities.
  • Identify local leaders from community to spread the message of peace and harmony
  • Strengthening Panchayati Raj Institutions through people’s participation and ensure active participation of women.
  • Raise the issues of village/community development and women health.
  • Promote village products, organic products and cash crops to strengthen and sustain village economy.
  • Make efforts for individual identity and sustainability of the forum.
  • Awareness generation and advocacy for overall village development.
